I just listened to a thoughtful, deep and impactful speech from a foreign leader and thought “damn he’s cooking”

I have a problem

There’s a decent chance that a large number of government workers will be laid off in the next few days, and I’m genuinely curious how they’ll react when their government/boss says “yeah we’re not keeping your job. It’s not our fault though. It’s these other people who aren’t in power right now”

I have a problem deep in my core with twitch sending me push notifications when people I *don’t even follow* are live.

Very weird that Bluesky suddenly decided I was a resident of Seattle, filling my discover queue to the brim with Seattle related posts

If I post something with a typo in it, I’m deleting immediately, and I won’t try again. You had one chance, post, and you screwed the pooch.

It should be required for house reps and senators at the national level to drive across the US at least once

The news of Ozzy passing is, well, gut-wrenching.

You know YouTube's search algo has failed when it doesn't recommend you the video with the exact same title that's in your search bar.

Anyone else get unnecessarily annoyed by italics overuse when they’re reading? I get that you wanted to emphasize some things but now this whole sentence is just wavy text.

It truly is disturbing how so many rumors and sentiments are sourced from, basically, "well I know a guy who knows a guy who is three doors down from the guy who said it"

Seeking advice from #gamedevs

What kind of skills do I need to be an effective gameplay programmer at a studio, and what kind of things should I be building for a portfolio? I'm getting a CS degree soon, but I think I have a lot to learn before I'd consider myself a qualified candidate.

You know, I was considering creating an encounter generator for @hellomcdm.bsky.social’s Draw Steel, but it’s not clear to me how it would work or if it would even be useful.

The disconnect between a gamer's perspective of the gaming industry and an investment strategist's perspective is fascinating.

Ball said "there is hope" that Take-Two will price GTA 6 at "$80 or even $100," which could prove to be a turning point for the video game industry. This could break a "key price barrier" and allow other developers to raise prices as well, he said."

I can now say with confidence that nothing I have ever experienced can induce such a steadily rising sense of panic than trying to line up that first entry-level job after graduating college.

After two weeks of banging my head against a wall over OpenGL and C++ nonsense. I cannot describe to you the excitement I'm feeling at the sight of these squares.

Anyone else ever sit at a table playing/running D&D and just cringe at the thought of how bad a show this plot would make?

Every time I think "I'm pretty sure I've got a handle on C++ now" something like rvalues and lvalues pops up to bruise my ego.

If I am playing a TTRPG in your fantasy world, I should be able to infer how young/old your towns are relative to others simply by looking at their names on a map. "Deulist's Bay" would probably be more recently settled than "Volaton" (Viola Town), for example.
