Kendrick’s dismantling of Drake is actually all about principle - he sees Drake as someone who has corrupted hip hop for his own gain & Kendrick is trying to take it back to its roots as an art form about struggle. Not Like Us is just the parting shot in years’ worth of back and forth between them.
