Went to the 50th anniversary midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I'm very happy that this year I got to dress as Rocky. I feel more comfortable in my body than I ever have before.

Also I'm proud to report that one thing has not changed in my transition: hoes still don't get cold.

Next day, he turns up, and does the same thing. Buys it, glances at the front page, throws it in the trash. Next day, same thing. The newsstand worker is increasingly puzzled, but doesn't say anything. But eventually, after a couple of weeks of this, he can't take it. "I'm sorry, friend, but I must ask: why do you buy the paper every day and then just look at the front page and throw it out?" "Oh, I'm just checking for something." Lexington KY Public Libraries are rolling back LGBTQ programs which is disgraceful.
The Lexington Public library is trying to silently roll back their programs for LGBTQ folks. They will also for the first time in recent memory not be sponsoring a booth at Lexington Pride. These are concerning decisions coming from an institution that claims to value diversity, inclusion, and community care. It is even more concerning that local library leaders are seemingly catering to our current administration dei attacks through these choices. This is what you can do: 1) be kind to your local librarian. They have been told not to talk about this publicly for fear of retaliation and they are scared. 2) Go to lexpublib.org, navigate to "ask" then scroll down to email us. Under How may we help you select send feedback and then write a letter about how the lack of LGBTQ programming will hurt our community. Also tell them how LPL has positively impacted you if you are a member of the queer community. 3) Show up to the upcoming board meeting on Wednesday April 9 at 4:30 at the central branch. You can sign up to speak by emailing coakford@lexpublib.org and letting them know what you'll be speaking about. You can also just show up to the meeting with a sign to show solidarity.

The Kentucky Senate has passed the bill saying that all Kentuckians on Medicaid will not be able to access gender affirming care including hormones.

There is no one in Kentucky who has done more for trans Kentuckians than Oliver. They are the person who helped me figure out how to transition and get surgery. Now they need support. Please help them afford staying housed.
