Exactly! Every all-ages server I’ve been on has been quick to deal with NSFW stuff (or died when the user base got sick of mods sleeping on the job), and every adults only server I’ve been on has been quick to eject any minors they find in their midst

Meanwhile, George R. R. Martin is taking how many years to write one book? And it’ll be best seller when it finally comes out! And he won’t even have to use a single pseudonym to trick people into buying it!

They tried it in WWI as well when they lent black troops to the French. The French were confused, then threw those directions right out, since they’d been fighting alongside black soldiers from their own colonies since day 1.

Ahem. Tim Curry.

Unfortunately, not all of them. Aside from the US and Soviets scooping up scientists, there was also the problem that Germany needed a functional military after the Allies left… and that requires officers with experience.

As far as I know, Pratchett is clean. Shame about the association with Gaiman, but it seems like Gaiman overstated how close they actually were

Aye. If I wanted to be in front of the camera, I would’ve gone into acting, dammit! I just wanna be a weird cryptid-like artist who comes out of nowhere with a new thing, then disappears for unspecified lengths of time

I wouldn’t be surprised if a few people bought multiple seats on opening day just to make it look like more people went to see it. Personally, I wouldn’t needlessly pay even more for a movie I actually really want to see

Yep. When the king can’t pay, well, that’s when the aristocracy start looking at getting a new king

The concept that horror movies are emotionally driven seems to escape some people. Same with the fact that your brain shuts logic down when you’re in danger

Nothin’ like watching the engineering and science majors take a Drawing 101 class and find out that basic art projects actually demand a good chunk of time and effort

Never mind jobs you had, tell me 5 classes you took in college

Abnormal Psychology
Child Psychology
Archeology (generalized)
Paleo Anthropology
Horror Media (it was an open studies course and I used it to study horror movies and games)

Or that the CPP is paid out to individuals, not provinces

See, something I like to do with period films is drink in the attention to detail (or lack thereof). That kind of attention to the details is something you just plain need humans for

One of the projects I’m working on right now is actually giving me some real hope, because I’ve been researching how people got through both World Wars. You start to see the patterns, y’know, and what’s going on now doesn’t seem so impossible. Hard, but not impossible. There’s hope.

“How much do you want for this? …No, no, that’s not enough! I’m gonna pay you twice that, and insist that you raise your prices!”
January 27, 2026 at 2:28 AM
Yep! Pretty much every stereotypical “autistic” tendency in humans is just normal for dogs.
January 24, 2026 at 12:30 AM
When I hear what people think having autism is, and mentally apply that to dogs, you kinda just get a normal dog. Dogs tend to hate loud noises, thrive on routine, and do their best work when the directions are clear

Can confirm. I’ve been digging into history lately, and just trying to build a more complete picture of what actually happened and why means looking for a whole hell of a lot of different perspectives. And that’s for well-documented events!

An unbiased take on WWII? Well, okay. …Nazi ideology was, objectively, completely batshit, utterly unmoored from reality, and even more stupid and cruel than what we usually see in fiction.

If only they could just admit to themselves that they just don’t enjoy the actual process of making art. Which is completely fine!
