個展最終日のトークイベントで、壁面を埋めている紙作品の断片群が縦糸横糸を編んだ織物のようだという意見が出たのはかなり面白かった。

絹織物（silk textile）に関する展覧会のテーマ、
リサーチにもとづいたテキスト（text）と絵画、
太平洋とかつての関東平野に広がっていた桑海を意図した織物（textile）のようなインスタレーションが、
最終日に思いがけずそれらとつながった。

それ以前に第1期から第3期にかけて、
物語性の発生、
偶然12年前の会場サイズに適した過去作の再起、
そして2年ぶりの筑波への再訪という、
思いがけず次々と要素がつながる個展だった。

The viewer sees in the exhibition space a “route” that crosses the Kanto Plain in a large circle.

The route is as follows
Hitachi (Kogai Shrine) → Tsukuba (Kokagesan Shrine) → Kanto area (assumed to be the Ken-O Expressway in this exhibition) → Hachioji (City of Mulberry) → Silk Road → Sagamino → Yokohama

The paths of their arrival and return are imaginatively linked in the present-day Kanto Plain.
 
I will trace the traces of these routes (places of worship, etc.) and create paintings based on research in various locations.

and the modern transportation routes, The paths of arrival and return of those related to sericulture, an important industry in modern Japan, such as the metaphysical being “Konjikihime” and her alter egos, the silkworms and silk products,

She is said to have drifted ashore, connecting the  Kogai (Rearing a Shilkworm) Shrine on the coast of Hitachi and the Kokagesan (Silkworm Shadow Mountain) Shrine in Tsukuba (the center of sericulture beliefs),
The silk road that took shape in the sericulture industry of modern Japan,

Legend has it that the silkworm goddess, Konjikihime (Golden Princess), drifted to Japan from ancient India.

This will be the third solo exhibition of the traveling exhibition (held in Tsukuba), which was held in Yokohama in September and in Sagamihara in October.

経路は以下となる。

常陸（蚕養神社） →筑波（蚕影山神社）→関東諸地域（今回展示では圏央道と仮定）→八王子（桑都）→絹の道→相模野→横浜

観客は展示空間に関東平野を大きく円を描いて横切る「航路」を幻視する。

[ステートメント]
『穹窿航路 - 蚕神、彼の地より来訪し桑海を渡り帰還す -』

古代インドより日本に流れてきたとされる蚕神・金色姫。
漂着した常陸の海岸の蚕養神社と筑波の蚕影山神社（養蚕信仰の中心地）を結び、
近代日本の養蚕業において形作られた絹の道、
そして現代の交通路を合わせて、
近代日本においての重要産業だった養蚕に関するものたち（金色姫とその分身ともいえる蚕や生糸）の来訪と帰還の経路を、現代の関東平野において想像的に仮設する。
そしてその経路の痕跡（信仰地等）を作家が追体験として辿り、各地の取材を元に絵画を制作する。
