In the last 4 days I went to Mexico for the first time, saw churches, pyramids and a castle. Went to the Mexican ballet, ate fabulous food and went to a Soul Asylum concert surrounded by a group of folks who just loved the band. A friend had a zany idea and lots of miles to share.

Tomorrow I head to a funeral at the Catholic Church I did all the stuff at. Baptized, First communion, wedding #1, parent's funerals, kiddos baptisms, my kids and my grade school. The fucking walls are going to cave in when I enter the doors. I welcome the mess.

Sad post warning. 40 yrs later and hanging lights on a tree 🌲 still puts me back as a 16 yr old with her mom sleeping away the days before being hospitalized and dying of breast cancer. I was basically told to decorate the house and a tree to normalize this shitty situation.
