Has this happened to anybody else here on Bluesky? I'm suddenly being followed by this guy "Elon Musk". Doesn't he have more...important...things to do? Like gutting the government, plundering the treasury and instilling fear and loathing?

Vance's speech in Munich today was so horrible, so revealing, so nauseating. Most of Germany gets what fascism and dictatorship look like. It's a historical thing. So much bullshit propaganda results in shaking heads and mocking laughter, disgust and disillusion. Who betrays democracy now? Tragic.

Am presently binge watching Prix de Lausanne. The dancers are amazingly talented and superbly trained, teachers/coaches are treasures. In the presence of such beauty and artistry, my heart lightens and I can briefly forget the uglier aspects of my present reality.

Since the election it's been embarrassing and challenging to be an American living in Europe, constantly being asked to explain how this could happen and what is wrong with "us", all the while desperately trying to process my own visceral reaction to what's happening in my home country.

This new year might be a good opportunity to try that world peace thing.
