Amei Tea House in Juifen rumoured but not confirmed as the inspiration for Yubaba’s oil house in Spirited Away. No matter, the tea house is charming and a quiet respite from the chaos of Jiufen Old Town which (no surprise) has become besieged with tourists. Good for food tripping, trinket shopping.

The Hwaseong Fortress is a must see when in Suwon. The fortress is not very old, just late 18th century but is in good condition and incorporates the topography of the area.
