Delighted to see a newly commissioned portrait of Dr Mary Strangman hanging in a prominent position in City Hall, painted by artist Una Sealy. Dr Strangman was Waterford Citys' first woman Councillor. /1

Lovely breakfast and walk in glorious sunshine out at Mount Congreve this morning. The Coach House are now operating the cafe and I must say I enjoyed it immensely. It's a massive attribute to have on our doorstep folks. Try to get out if you can and don't forget to bring your visitors! #Waterford

An update on the Corvid with no top beak who frequents the park. He or she eats by pushing small pieces of food up onto their claw (see video!) and eating with its head upside down. We're thinking of calling him/her Dua One Lipa 🤣 #birdwatching #Ireland #Waterford @birdwatchireland.bsky.social

Beautiful pair of swans on St Johns Pill at Millers Marsh this afternoon. Incidentally, I have reported the amount of rubbish that is being dumped onto the river bank underneath the apartment block. Completely unacceptable. @waterfordcouncil.bsky.social #Waterford

It struck me yesterday that in 2025 Waterford City is 1,111 years old! Founded in 914 the city is historic, warm, colourful, inclusive, festive, brave, determined, artistic, sporting, musical, beautiful, loyal, ambitious and welcoming. Happy 1,111st birthday #Waterford. Our Harbour of the Sun.

It struck me yesterday that in 2025 Waterford City is 1,111 years old! Founded in 914 the city is historic, warm, colourful, inclusive, festive, brave, determined, artistic, sporting, musical, beautiful, loyal, ambitious and welcoming. Happy 1,111st birthday #Waterford. Our Harbour of the Sun.

I know housing is a huge issue but for me the issue of the campaign is the abandonment of people and families with #disabilities, #mentalhealth and #neurodiversity. Services are non-existent. And it's not working for the staff in those sectors either who care deeply. #Waterford
