International Research Development Manager at UofGlasgow. On the professional side, I'm mostly interested in research management capacity strengthening & equitable partnership. The rest of the time, I'm focussed on running (slowly), food, and books.
Tiree is always such a wonderful place to recharge. And also run a 10k.

I thought the Hidden Glen 10k was going to be an easy run but that's only because I didn't look at the elevation map of the route. 197m of elevation gain, 150 of that between km 2 and 6. This is me dragging myself across the finish line. I'll get my act together and be ready for next year.

Research management and administration delegates at our workshop have delved into tricky issues of governance & policy and strengthening research collaborations, and now we are getting an introduction to IP, courtesy of Mark Raylor and James Andrews from @nihr.bsky.social

Research managers and administrators do many things and have broad areas of expertise. We are in Dar es Salaam this week to learn from each other, develop new professional networks and build capacity at our home institutions. #partnership #capacitystrengthening

It was a pleasure to present today at the @britishacademy.bsky.social Conference on Equitable Partnerships with Helen Hopkins @ucl.ac.uk & Helen Rajabi @universityofleeds.bsky.social. And great to see such interest in @uofglasgow.bsky.social efforts to enhance equity in our partnerships.

It is always inspiring to hear from Isabella Aboderin from the Perivoli Africa Research Institute on #TheAfricaCharter. #EquitablePartnership

Not even halfway through the first day and I have already taken so many notes at the @britishacademy.bsky.social Conference on Equitable Partnership. It's really great to be able to participate in these important conversations.

I may have many books on my to-read shelves but when given half a chance, I can get through quite a few. Top recommendations from my Christmas read-a-thon are Born a Crime, Speaking in Cod Tongues and The End of Bias.
