I was in the hospital (not ICU) for 2 1/2 days to explore a heart arrhythmia. The bill was $38000. This was in 2016. Your numbers seem low.

Agree. Single, living on social security I get the minimum. There are a lot like me. Not sure how you could cheat the system. If you do you will get caught.

Totally happy with my United Healthcare Medicare Advantage plan. Been on it for 13 years. No copay, never turned down for any procedure, meds free or dead cheap.

Drunks in airports is pretty good too. It’s a great distraction from the fall of democracy and accepting that I’m too old and too addicted to a/c to move to Mexico.
