My own publishing company forgot me...they have been publishing "Happy One-Year- Book-a-Versary" on another social site, but they forgot me...they left me out. Well, damnit, here I am! I dare you to delve into the life of a girl in her coming-of-age years, in Germany, as an Army Brat. I double dare

Josh Johnson-oh, my stars, that man is joy, humor, and my "go to" for uplift.

I need to read something uplifting. Thought you might too.

Here's a thought, since Trump has so much personal money, he can contribute to the government to keep it from shutting down. Win/Win. Yes?

Meanwhile, in the world of 3 and 4-year-olds, there was much excitement over a dead cicada. Why did it die? Where will it go? Was it sad? Instead of answering, I asked, "What are your thoughts on this?" So many interesting thoughts, all of which began with, "Maybe." We put it next to a tree. Wisdom.

Here's some more news...a 4-year old stuffed as many acorns as my pocket would hold, and then wanted to count, "how many." A 3-year-old told me, "I like your wild hair." A 5-year old told me today, "I love you, because you helped me when I was little." Yes, this is "news" too. Be young again.

Look, I don't fall into a "category" of desired authors. So, I made my own and call it, "Women in Their 60's Who Are Debut Authors." Okay, now, calling all literary agents and small presses, I'm giving you first crack at my Rom-Com, Time After Time (a Second Chance Romance). That's me, on the right

That's right. 50 years after leaving, my stories are returning to Frankfurt Germany for the Frankfurt Buchmesse in October! That's right! The biggest Book Fest on the planet! Hey, I've got a completed Rom-Com manuscript ready to fly. Literary Agents, come and get it! #writers#literaryagents

Come on now. Doesn't this mood board leave you wondering...is this from a book or movie? All it take is one Literary Agent or Small Press to give the people what they want. A Second Chance Romance with laughter, complications, and a cliff hanger at the end...Time After Time. They were 19 and 20.

I found a bird today, outside my exterior classroom door. I came in early to work on The Rain Garden my class renovated last year. I found some sticks, talked to the birdie the whole time, letting her know,as I placed her in the garden, filled with love. She died later in the day. I sobbed.

Alright, so where is this one, mythical literary agent, who is going to honor me and my kick ass manuscript? The rejection letters are kind, which I appreciate. But, damnit, I'd appreciate it even more, if you'd just request the "full." You will laugh. I promise. No, it's not dystopian. It's real.

Look, this current generation in college, they have their shit together. They just say it straight out. I work on a college campus and they actually give "the wave" when you stop for them at a crosswalk. I mean, I've had people so much older, just glare at me while I stopped. What the hell?

It's September 11th. I remember, I was home with my 6-month old. An. Immediate feeling of a kind of doom I had never felt before, came over me because now, I was responsible for another little life. The skies were silent. I feel the same dread about our country as our Admin. dismantles the USA.

September 11, 2001...I had a 6-month-old baby and I raced to the food store, so scared that war was breaking out, The air was silent-no planes. There was a small TV on, and the store was silent except for total strangers crying and hugging in the aisles.

Okay, I'm 64 and obsessed with "Wednesday." I mean, I'm more like the Enid character, but this show, the acting, the subtly in facial expressions communicated with eyes...Season 3, please come out soon!!

Okay, so I'm feeling like doo doo on a pungy stick as no one...no one has resonded to my posts. You know what that means to a middle "child," classic introvert (who knows how to look like an extrovert after years of teaching)....more therapy. Damn. No one cares? No one??

A child told me today, "Youre hands are so beautiful. They are filled with differnt colors." He is 4 years old. I have been asked by adults, "What's wrong with your skin?" I used to use cover up. I don't anymore. They are the conduits to me becoming an author.. Thank you, sweet child.#vitiligo

Yep, there's an actual rainbow going over my house! Okay, I'm taking this as like a Super Sign that the Query I just sent, is going to ask for a "Full." Right?

Rom-Com is complete!! I fell in love with my main characters, so much so, that I cried, I laughed...I wrote the damn thing! I knew what was going to happen. The supporting characters made me start a sequel. Okay, so now, my writerly folk, I need a chance to get this out into the world.

My sisiter thought this was a "meat roll." In what world does she see me going up to the Meat Counter and saying, " Hi, I'd like a Meat Roll." What the hell is a Meat Roll? Ugh, it's making me feel ill just imagining that. "Hey, think I'll have some Meat Roll for dinner." No, just no.
