We must abolish DHS and start over. The whole thing was a terrible idea.

That’s awfully statesmanlike of him.
November 21, 2025 at 1:59 AM
I had a blouse like that in high school. Not to brag, but I’m pretty sure I carried it off better than this person.
November 21, 2025 at 1:55 AM
It’s real?!?!
November 21, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Yes! I can’t imagine the stress, plus the expense of lawyers - and all that plus *being shot five times*?!?
November 21, 2025 at 1:53 AM
And qualified immunity shouldn’t apply.
November 21, 2025 at 1:52 AM
I disagree. He warned the country that we risked sliding into fascism and was widely mocked. I blame voters, who chose a malignant dolt over a highly qualified woman - for the second time! And if the media had held Biden and Trump to the same standard, Biden would’ve cruised to reelection.

This should have been a major news story in 2024, and I think the fact that it wasn't was a major failure by the media. What's bigger news than the guy a 78-year-old heartbeat away from the presidency believing that democracy has outlived its usefulness?
November 20, 2025 at 6:40 PM
A mini-primary would've led to chaos, with the media for once not lying about "Dems in disarray."

He did not govern poorly. We were the only country to emerge from Covid without a recession, and our economy was the envy of the world. He passed a historic infrastructure bill that previous Presidents tried but couldn't get, the CHIPS Act and the IRA. www.presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/fa...

People who would vote for someone who ranted about imaginary conversations with a fictional serial killer and his memories of a dead golfer's genitalia were not gettable voters.
November 20, 2025 at 4:55 PM
And we have a vicious simpleton who cares for no one but himself in complete charge of the nuclear button.
November 20, 2025 at 4:53 PM
They had completely demonized her by '94. She for some reason epitomized everything Rs hated and feared. Their hatred for her was genuinely unhinged, and they'd believe anything, no matter how outlandish, that anyone said about her. Whenever an R says "It takes a village," I want to scream. (iykyk)
November 20, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Is this pup a Scottie? 😍
November 20, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Yeah, and the paper that originally published the claim that he’d said it took it back the next day, but you’d never know that from the way it was reported in the national press and gleefully repeated by pundits.

Do you remember the days when you could be denied coverage for preexisting conditions? When *lifetime* coverage was capped at $1 million no matter how high your costs went? When you paid for preventive care? The ACA should be improved, but it’s undeniably soooo much better than what we had.
November 20, 2025 at 4:38 PM
He wasn’t timid. He played the hand he was dealt as well as anyone could’ve. Majorities in both houses were *never* going to vote for single-payer. Dem Presidents literally since Nixon had been trying for natl. healthcare. Obama was the only one to succeed.
November 20, 2025 at 4:33 PM
Definitely!
November 20, 2025 at 4:25 PM
We see her very differently. I see her as maybe the most effective Speaker in U.S. history, despite the stock issues. I’m not thrilled with what she did to Biden, but that doesn’t negate the fact that she kept us from handing Social Sec. over to Wall St. a few years before the financial crisis.
November 20, 2025 at 3:36 AM
Pelosi was already at the top of the party, and she’s the reason we have a national health care plan at all. She’s also the reason that W couldn’t privatize Social Security. She’s done things I haven’t liked, but she was an excellent Speaker. And she’s fortunately changed her stance on stock trades.

I have no idea - it’s just a guess. That’s why I ended those sentences with question marks.
November 20, 2025 at 1:27 AM
And such a nasty, irredeemably awful bully. How he loves announcing in public that he's going to fire people, when he knows they lack the power to tell him to go screw himself.
November 19, 2025 at 6:36 PM
When I hear his name, I automatically think of that creepy campaign commercial he made that showed him caressing a gun while whispering,”It’s German.” 😖
