The declarations keep coming back to the ways in which the awful conditions themselves were used to coerce deportations.

Here, one lawyer describes how his client, who had a work permit, US citizen children, and a strong case for relief, was coerced into giving up his case.

This press conference from Sep with Prizker, Brandon, Toni Preckwinkle, the Attorney General of IL, and the Lt Governor was inspirational as fuck. It set the tone for how the city and the state has been fighting back ever since. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzLE...

It's important also to highlight the politicians who *are* fighting back despite the risk. Here is Illinois and Chicago we have Gov Pritzker pulling no punches. Major Brandon doing better than anyone expected. Even former Major Lightfoot salvaging her former reputation!

Hero’s of the day - In a small town of Beckley, WV, Kendra Sullivan staged a one-woman No Kings protest. She was confronted, had the police called on her, but stood her ground. She was physically threatened. Police came more than once and protected her right to protest. This is how we do it.

I stood behind this for 2 hours (because it took that long for our part of the march to move!) with a group of my husband's actor friends, who commented on how a good set designer could've put this together. Chicago has a hell of a storefront theater scene!

Illinois also has them at CVS, including the pediatric vaccine, and they are available without prescription or insurance. Walk-ups available. It is *wild* that it we are back to the scramble and call-around to try and get vaccinated against a virus that so recently caused so much death.

Awesome! Glad it's sparking good conversation! I'm now a therapist and get to help people working with similar dynamics in many different kinds of workplaces. Its great to think that young people heading into their careers are thinking about these topics ahead of time!
