Oh Mr. BRAEDEN. I just saw an interview you did with Bruce Cook many years ago. He asked you
why the German people allowed Hitler to come to power and do what he did. Your answer gave me chills and it resonates with what the hell is going on right now in our country. So prescient.

Congratulations to him. Someone already said it: a chip off the old block. Except I think he's a Chunk off the old block. Sure he's giving you a lot of light during these dark days.

My county library did away with fines. If you don't get the books back by due date, they eventually send you a notice asking for them. No fine. The reason? The county decided that the monies collected should not be kept by the library but put in the non library coffers. So the library heads said NO.

It speaks volumes that you are still reminding us of the suffering of others. As someone previously said, any kind of healing will be in babysteps. It's easy for us to say this to those suffering, but putting one foot forward is all that we mortals can do. And you do this magnificently.

Mr. BRAEDEN, I am so so sorry for the loss of your beautiful home. Saw your interview on CNN/ET. It amazed me that in the middle of your grief about your home that you could speak so eloquently and lovingly of California. From a Virginia woman, my eternal prayers and respect.
