3. Essentially, I love live theater. But I’m disturbed and deeply concerned about many fans/audience members weird perceptions of being “owed” a personal meet & greet at the stage door.

2. 3. The disrespect of performers’ personal lives & boundaries is astounding, and 4. The delusional world some of the younger fans seem to live in. I have heard high schoolers plan to & then sing at the actors because they think they’ll be discovered at the stage door. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

1. When I choose to stagedoor, it’s to thank the actors & actresses for their performances. However, it’s becoming more & more uncomfortable to do so. It blows my mind & deeply disturbs me at 1. the audacity of people, 2. the disturbing parasocial relationships fans seem to have with the performers.
