Remembering the sacrifice of all those who fought in the D-day invasion in Normandy. Here is my father, a member of the Free French Forces, who was the head canon operator on the Montcalm. His ship anchored that day and he fought bravely. I know he would be dismayed by current events. Merci papa!

Nice to meet you too! What a great word! Enjoy your trip in France. We have visited the Normandy coast. A French historian showed us where my father’s ship landed in D-day. Very moving. Here’s a picture of him in his Navy uniform:
