I tend to take it off for reading so it doesn't get messed up, but return it once finished. Occasionally I leave it on, and use the inner flap as my bookmark.

But if you can't bring yourself to finish the work then it would get a low rating for you. I don't rate books I haven't "yet" finished that I intend to get back to, which is a completely different thing.

It's really rare I don't finish something due to hating it, but I started that star practice before I started using Storygraph.
