Just finished listening to the audiobook version of ‘Putin’ by Philip Short. All 30 hours of evidence based on exhaustive research and interviews. Short kind of agrees but nuances the point that Putin believes that the Russian people demand a Tsar and are unready for democratic rule.

I strongly disagree with proscription because it normalises exceptional law. I am hugely sceptical of the Home Sec’s claims that PA are way more dangerous than the public think. But the Scots National has manufactured this story out of two separate statements. No better than those they criticise.
