I have some fun ideas for the series, and it seems to be lending itself to series material pretty easily.

Thanks!!

I have a scene where they order coffee, so that was easy. :)

My FMC would order a hazelnut latte, extra foam, a drizzle of chocolate, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
My MMC, black coffee with a splash of milk. #momswritersclub

I've started a new WIP, written over 11,200 words, and planned a bit of the series. #momswritersclub

I do think about them in different scenarios. Sometimes it's fun to think about them doing things outside of the plot. The what ifs sometimes make it into the story. #momswritersclub

Characters are always first in my writing. I start thinking about who I'm writing about way before I have a plot. #momswritersclub

I think about my writing in terms of of scenes. It works best for the way my mind works. #momswritersclub

#momswritersclub It's going better than the last couple of years. I have a new story that I'm excited about. I haven't been getting as many words lately as I would like, but it's fun.

Hi #momswritersclub ! I'm Mary from Tennessee. I used to join the chats more often, but I've had a couple of years of writer's block and frustration and kind of gave up. This year, I'm jumping back in, working on a cozy, small town romance book that I'm contemplating turning into a series.

I've tried a few writing groups, and they always seem to unravel. I was certain I was definitely going to only write YA for a long time, but I realized my writing is more NA without the heat level, so 🤷. What about you? 😀

Q 6. #Momswritersclub
I can't really think of anyone in particular I'd like to talk with right now.

Q 5. #Momswritersclub
I'm more sensitive to wanting to find balance now that I have a kid. I could let writing be all inclusive, but I need to balance it with my whole family. And I want to write something he can be proud to say "My mom did that."

Q 4. #Momswritersclub
I think I'm happier with a mix of my comfort zone and pushing myself. I really enjoy research, so I'm always pushing myself to learn more about whatever I'm writing. I've also been working on the same characters for years, so they're basically like family at this point.

I haven't successfully managed that yet. I always feel like I'm neglecting something. When I had a job outside the house, I would try to go to the library and write for an hour or two a week, but I never felt like I got the right balance for me.

#MomsWritersClub A.2
I'd tell them that while I appreciate them rattling around in my brain for years I'd really like them to let me get their story written before they head off on another tangent. I'm not opposed to a series, but I need them to chill long enough to write a rough draft.

Hi #MomsWritersClub! I'm Mary. I can't really figure out what genre I write at the moment. I'm a SAHM to a very busy 10 year old boy (baseball season is ramping up). My WIP has been compared to Friday Night Lights, SEAL Team, with maybe a touch of Yellowstone. 🤷

Awww! That's so cool you had a friend to share your work with too! :)

Exchanging chapters every morning with my best friend in high school. We'd read each other's work and talk about our stories and characters after school or at lunch.

I had to think about this one for a while. I'm going to go with "Tough Folks" by American Aquarium.

It depends on the book, but typically, for me, it's the end. I get excited about about the story, and I start to get nervous and second guess every plot point toward the end.

Good one! For me, it's engaging prose, a excellent storytelling, and a good grasp on grammar and structure (doesn't have to be 100% English teacher approved, but I am a stickler for grammar).
