Fierce, mean and nasty Canadian, retired graphic designer and painter, dog person, happily married and opinionated old lady.
Pigs are nice animals - loving, intelligent, gentle and clean. When people use the word, “pig” or “piggy” as an insult, they are revealing their lack of knowledge. But why would anyone be surprised by Trump’s lack of knowledge?

🇨🇦💙 Blue Jays didn’t lose last night — Canada won.
Because what the world saw wasn’t just a game. It was unity, fairness, and heart. We hosted them, we played clean, and we cheered loud.

Well, Mr. Snell, you say the Blue Jays’ 6-1 win over the Dodgers was due to ”bad luck” for you and the Dodgers. I suggest you practice developing some grace, professionalism and sportsmanship. Go Jays, go!

I support Ford’s anti-tariff ad. Trump‘s stated goal is to use economic force to bring Canada to its knees. Nothing Trump has said is reliable. What is reliable are the lies, divisiveness, and confusion. Trump jumped on the ad as his next “excuse” for attacking Canada. Do not let it work!

Tired of tariffs? Here’s how Canadians can make a real impact — with our wallets.

Skip the U.S. vehicles.

Choose Canadian-built. 🇨🇦

The first digit in the VIN on your car tells you where it was made:

🇨🇦 2 = Canada ✅ ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅

3,J,K,W,Y,V,Z,S,L Not USA ✅

🇺🇸 1, 4, 5 = U.S. ❌

This is the Ontario ad that pissed the Russian fascist off down south in the US causing him to break trade negotiations with Canada.
Don't share it! 🤣 #cdnpoli

Do you think that breaking the boycott will make you welcome in the United States? Think again.
Finger printed, photographed and vehicles thoroughly searched. You better hope you don't have a conviction for smoking marijuana when you were 18.

Canadian snowbirds fingerprinted and photographed at U.S. border as part of new requirement | CBC News

Returning Canadian Snowbirds are experiencing new US regulations for visitors staying more than 30 days - being fingerprinted, photographed, and paying a $30 fee. Some are “insulted”. Perhaps you should join fellow Canadians and support the boycott of US travel and products. Elbows up!

I have struggled with sinus node dysfunction for 20 years. The last couple of months have been very difficult. I have been trying to prioritize what little energy I have. So, I have stopped struggling to make the bed each morning. Guess what? The world has not ended; nor has the health unit called.

”Bruised feelings”? Hardly! CNN writer, Matt Egan, asserts that “bruised feelings” are behind the Canadian boycott of US products/destinations and that US businesses are “victims”. Threatening the sovereignty of any country is aggression, plain and simple. How would you expect Canada to react?

Idaho is not far from Canada. As a Canadian, I am concerned about a Quatari military base being established in Idaho. I am also very concerned about sharing security and defense with a country that invites non-allies to establish military bases within its borders.

Love watching our Blue Jays work towards a World Series win. But I was disgusted by the huge numbers of Yankees’ fans who left long before game end. Huge disrespect and callousness towards their team and a total lack of sportsmanship. Looking forward to next games. Hoping all fans show more class.

I am so glad my dog does not discuss politics, world affairs or the state of the economy. We only discuss important things like which shrub to pee under, why he can’t have all the treats he wants, what time to get up in the morning and how much bed space/blankets he needs.

Poor Pete Hoesktra is “disappointed he came to Canada”. Guess what, Pete? So are Canadians!

It’s infuriating that Canadian grocery stores are depriving us of fresh, in-season Canadian produce. Yesterday, our local Freshco (Empire Foods/Sobeys) offered ONLY US carrots, peaches, celery, plums, cherries. We are supporting Canadian business; they should be supporting us!

Must say, my respect for the royal family has gone up in past months. King Charles has shown overt support for Canada in our struggles with the US and now we read that Princess Catherine and Queen Camilla are being pushed into entertaining Melania - all to try to pacify you know who.

Canadians: As a disabled senior, I use Voila (Sobey’s/Empire Foods) for grocery shopping/delivery. For months, I went without US produce. Now, in the peak of fresh Canadian produce season, Voila is still offering many items only from the US, despite Canadian product availability. Shame on Voila!!

So, it seems Mrs. PP is seeking a furnished apartment, with pool and gym, in Montreal for a month long “little get away” while she works on her book. She says family is the most important thing but wants to leave 2 very young children behind while she pursues her goal. No space at Stornoway?

Just saw a tv ad for the Canadian Snowbird Association, encouraging Canadians to travel to the US and promising to help members navigate our “government restrictions” against travel. Must admit, my blood pressure went up. Really?? How about you encourage members to travel within Canada?
