This is interesting. I wonder if it’s the same for other ACPs? We need to consider cost per appointment & total number of appointments needed & cost of supervision. I suspect that this often adds up to more than a GP consultation.

Polydipsia gets a bit forgotten as a symptom. I remember needing to drink pints of water in the night to quench my thirst. Kept checking myself for diabetes. Must be something central.

Out of hours care is incredibly confusing and difficult to navigate. We can’t be surprised when patients end up in A&E because they don’t know where else to go.

We can assess and manage patients in 15 mins, no need for pointless blood tests and investigations, repeating your story countless times, triage quickly to give an appointment time to see the right person first time, and all for a fraction of the cost.

GP is so much more efficient than hospitals can ever be. We have to move more FUNDS into community healthcare to increase capacity.

Hospitals really should be able to access the same level of medical information about me as I can on my NHS app.

Why can’t the speciality admission units have their own waiting areas? Why do you need an actual bed to move out of the A&E waiting room once you have been triaged as stable?

An inpatient Deliveroo type service would be amazing and could even make a profit.

Why is it so hard to get food in a hospital? I don’t even mean healthy food (though I can dream)! Unless you plan and take a packed lunch and a massive drink to A&E you are likely to end up dehydrated and hungry. Even more so as a carer.
