Our location on our phone is constructed using a variety of algorithms and data inputs about the built environment. This leads to various "views" on our location that conform into the needs of Google and Android.

Excited to see this out! Fun and insightful to examine mundane file formats through the mode of production. This paper looks at the histories of GeoJSON and the Esri Shapefile; we show OS efforts to ~can~ be captured by for-profit models, which also rely on OS to bolster their market power.
