Back then, we warned that that power would eventually be generalized. That’s the process that’s occurring now and the same people that allied with the right are aghast at what’s happening.

I think many of them underestimate their capacity for cruelty and given how many have written about the border/undocumented immigrants, they won’t be able to understand that this was always the logical conclusion.
