Ralf Suedhoff tweeted: Time for good news after all! We & many colleagues lobbied strongly against Germany's planned cuts of its humanitarian aid by 36% / 1 billion € - but last night parliament topped the cut budget up by 700mio € - what a key move in such challenging times! #KeineZeitfürKürzungen
The Min of Development ist going down by 5% and Foreign Ministry is expected to get cuts for humanitarian aid by a whopping 30%. This is the fourth-richest country in the world and certainly not a time to cut vital support for millions running from conflicts, suffering from hunger or climate change.

This morning we teamed up with 27 NGOs in Berlin to protest the proposed budget cuts to #German development and 'humanitarian aid spending in 2024. With 339 mio ppl in dire need - 65 mio more than last year - the humanitarian system could collapse like a card-house if it s not strengthened!
