Ha! My Mom and Dad took a friend and I to a midnight showing of Rocky Horror at the Biograph Theater in Chicago without telling us what we were doing. We had just seen Rambo, First Blood Part 2 and I guess they thought we were to amped to go home to bed.

Midway in Chicago upped its food game a few years ago by using local restaurants. You can get a fantastic gyro in the food court. And good beer as well.

About two months ago I bought a few hundred on Amazon and put them in a clear plastic cup in the Little Free Library in front of my neighbors’ house in Oak Park. It‘s equal parts depressing and reassuring how often I have to check it to keep it full.

I think the reason you see more people on the street in Chicago is because the neighborhoods are much more dense. Wilmette is much less so, and you have way fewer people on the sidewalks to notice. These actions in the burbs alarm me more because fewer witnesses and quick reactors.

What sort of content do they play these during? I haven’t seen any but I don’t watch a lot of football. I didn’t see any during the baseball playoffs I watch and I haven’t seen any on Hulu, but it could be that my content doesn’t fit the demo.
