Indiana smoking regulations are non-smoking in most areas but allowed in bars in the majority of counties, turning them into smoker's clubs. It's knocked me over several times just walking in the door. It's turning some bars into really wild, strange places again. 80's Clermont vibes.

The last two days have made me full of food love. Yesterday, it was an amazing home-cooked Italian meal with an all-day red sauce & meatballs that blew my mind. Today, it was Jamaican goat curry with rice and peas. Both meals were like hugs from Grandmas that have cooked for a lifetime.

Murder is wrong, but this event got us talking. It has yanked us up by the ear and forced us to evaluate our world philosophically.
Will it affect systemic changes? Maybe. Our country is raging for socialized health care. It's too bad that the discussion had to be started by a bullet.

I'm a Facebook refugee. It really is much nicer here. You have to build a giant firewall to keep the trolls out, and despite the tools they give you, you get shamed for being a proactive user. F*ck that noise.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

My following list is small, but it will grow. I don't like seeing the amount of outright bullying that happens unchecked on Facebook. The algorithm is flawed. It's full of ads, and it's meant to sow discord. Bluesky is just nicer.
