Programmer, and sometimes game developer.

I also do a lot of random stuff.
Platforms tend to be very vague so they can get away with suspending users for bullshit reasons.
It's harder to fight something you can't see.

The "smarter" it is, the dumber it ends up getting.

If it was set up with GPT, then this wouldn't have been an issue... but of course it had to be MBR.

Yep, it takes time to improve things, and hitting everything with an axe just makes the process slower.

0 = 0
0 * 10 = 0

When you try to make multiple of zero, you just get zero... so it makes sense to me.

If I see them as separate things then I do the latter, but if I see it as one condition, then I use the former.
And if I do the latter, I'm likely doing it like this:
if foo {
if bar ...
}
as there likely is other conditions I want to do there.

If you relly need to get into the laptop, you can try the old trick of using the "repair your computer" feature to get access to cmd, and activating the admin account, and/or resetting some passwords.

Fun fact, according to RFC5321 4.5.4.1 (datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc...)
If an email fails to send, it should have a retry interval of at least 30 minutes, and should continue retrying for at least 4-5 days.

Reminds me of something that happened with my Google account back in 2019 or 2020. It repeatedly failed to send me my verification code over SMS... they blamed it on my ISP. Funnily enough, another Google account I had as a backup sent me my verification code without any problems.

All shaders are compiled on your machine. This is because no one can agree on a format that works for everyone, so you just have to ship the source and compile it on demand.
