4. The way you drive in heavy rain/flood conditions should look a lot different than how you drive normally. Most importantly: Obey road closure signs and if you can't see the road, DON'T DRIVE THROUGH THE WATER.

In short, the flyer emphasizes obeying detour and closure signs; not driving through water if you can't see the road under the water; slowing down; leaving extra room between cars; avoiding downed powerlines and calling 9 1 1 if you see any. Six inches of water is enough to knock a person down and will stall most vehicles
