A1 I can think of 2 possible meanings - a static one: a unit within HEI responsible for tech provision, implementation and use, and a dynamic one: a competition among HEI for innovation, tech roll out and achieving measurable results

I don't think AI has emotions or creativity. It just strings together things it has learned. Basically, it copies and parrots snippets but there is no emotion behind them.

I've been saying this too elsewhere - using AI is part of digital literacies and should not be taught by writing tutors (as is my case). Acacdmic/ study skills should not be conflated with digital literacy skills. When at uni my tutors did not teach me how to use technologies. I taught myself.

I felt this created unequal relationship, where students were in a more favourable position and the teacher was more vulnerable and exposed. I thought a relationship of trust can be built where both parties are open to each other.

I had a similar experience, but wondered about the teacher's mental health - looking at a black wall of squares and talking to yourself was not comfortable for me. This did not create a sense of community with my students and was frustrating for me

For me formative feedback on students writing IS teaching. It should not be mere evaluation of students' output against a set of criteria (what LLM would most probably do) but also feeding forward into the following stages/ structure of final product, or indeed a dialogue between tutor and student
