The problem with other weather apps is, 1. They are using third party weather data to power their actual business of data collection using the app. 2. They are vague, displaying just enough data to keep you checking but not enough to make them accountable. 3. It’s either mass adds or subscription.

‘AI Devices’ are solutions looking for a problem to solve, driven by sociopathic ‘tech bros’ TRYING to replace human agency with a business model of dependency. Like cloud storage, ‘AI’ is a just feature of existing screen based devices, not a new product category. Plus, linguistics ≠ logic anyway.

How Ron DeSantis, EVER ‘think’ wasting $10’s of millions of taxpayer money on his authoritarian power grab, changing an ‘Improvement District’ into his ‘Oversight District’ was ever going to work out to anyone’s advantage, including him. What a low intelligence, morally devoid and insecure ‘man’.

He’s getting both desperate to maintain or bump the stock price and disconnected. He’s FAR over-promised the capability of FSD in the short term, under-invested in EV affordability and threw all his time into a disconnected from real people political agenda that doesn’t help anyone, even himself!

There are a lot of people in the EV enthusiast community pulling for them on this, including me as an R2 Reservation holder. BUT, Rivian has a VERY hard road to travel here. The layman buyer needs to recognize the brand, see more local service and decide to buy during the U.S. ‘EV Buying Winter’.

I use to work LP in a store, this understandably does happen at loud/busy and overstimulating times. Universal is FAR overstepping common sense, and is being petty and unreasonable here. Was there Mobile Checkout and a Universal Employee visibly advertised at the stores entrance they could talk to?

👍👍 Gideon’s never disappoints! You might want to bump it up a year though…. ‘Window graphics went up in December 2024’

Many don’t understand the ‘Foundation Model’ here. Gemini is NOT bringing native Google Search or Cloud Services to Siri. It’s 1.2 trillion parameter LLM will be used to run Siri’s features till Apple can replace it with its own LLM. Like hiring out to mow your grass while you repair your lawnmower.

Atlas 2 is an actual, function forward bot that was designed & purpose built with the duty cycle & ‘beyond human’ kinematic abilities to enhance manufacturing. Optimus is just another one of the many tech bro ‘let’s replace humans’ fantasy, try to do-everything bots, that are not function enhancing.

I wonder what material they used in this? Most 3D printing materials absorb moisture at fairly high rates, and weaken in temps over 100°F; enough to require sealed and temp. controlled storage. It will be interesting to see how durable these set elements will be over time compared to the originals.

‘Revealed!: CIA says Top secret Russian Seismic Bomb actually just a plan to drop 900lb Kim Jong Um from Russian Freighter to generate ‘Kim Jong Boom’.’

I highly doubt the Apple Pencil would be supported for the simple fact that the soft plastic film over the screen on foldable’s would easily and permanently have groves in it from the point of the pencil. Plus the pressure point at the hinge would give the pencil a bounce that would hinder drawing.

GenX isn’t disposable wealth driven like Boomers. Minivans don’t represent a nostalgic ‘freedom’ era that the Charger & Bus did to Boomers. Cars of the 80’s & 90’s were forgettable appliance designs. The era of the nostalgic car is just over. People want fun, exciting, practical and efficient cars.

From experience with decorative top tables like these, they are difficult to clean and we had more spills of drinks because a cup base couldn’t slide if it was bumped. Better looking for sure, but probably not a spectacular idea for practicality.

Like with Jonny Ive, without the guidance of someone like Steve Jobs, that has a firm understanding of practical and technological functionality and of public perception, these ‘star’ designers are sculptors trying to tell people what they want with designs that’s function appeal are VERY limited.

I like the Aptera! But, I’m a rooftop solar designer, & its surface area & the number of Solar Generation Days is inadequate to achieve its 40 mile daily solar range, for most people. It does have an aero advantage to help achieve its 400 mile overall range. I wish I was optimistic about its future.

Sadly, the U.S. is, at least, two years from a volume competitor = to Models Y & 3. Rivian has to scale R2 & R3 to get to the $35k version & scale its service network, Lucid has to intro its $50k SUV & raise cash to mfg it & Ford Universal EV Platform is not till 2028. I hope they’re all successful.

‘We’re going to make it so endearing, you’ll for get about life and everyone in it. You’ll say ‘Wow, all I need is this device.’ I’m starting to think the ‘Artificial Intelligence’ are the guys pushing ‘AI’. This is getting creepy in a ‘we hate humans, let’s try to replace them’, kind of way.

Actual implementation of V2H is COMPLEX, requiring utility approval, AHJ inspections and the entire service and load center be brought up to current NEC. I install V2H systems, and have never seen an install below $17,860. It’s more valuable to install stationary LFP storage, in every single way.

Aaannnddd… just like that, this ‘story’ is disproven. This why I’m unfollowing 9to5Mac, Apple Insider and MacRumors on all platforms. You guys need to do real journalism and corroborate sources. This cycle of report rumor, report delay of rumor is VERY noticeable.

This would be VERY un-Apple. These articles are getting so ridiculous one upping each other… tomorrow ‘iPhone Air’s sales are so bad they executed the designers and burned down the factory.’

I wonder if they are upgrading the projectors and mapping hardware. Christie Systems have come a long way in recent years and Disney uses Christie hardware.

I think where these companies don’t get ‘it’ and Apple does is ‘The Barrier To Utilization’. Meaning, how fast can one take a stored device and use it. Having to unfold a device is another extra step toward using it that adds time, complication and wear, that a rigid screen with FaceID doesn’t have.

Who is pushing an iPad Pro hard enough with the available software on iPadOS to need this type of cooling!? I use Luma Fusion on my M4 iPad Pro daily and NEVER utilize that much processing power to make it more than slightly warm.

Investors that vote ‘Yes’ on this are absolute fools. Elon is reducing their shares value and voting power substantially to try to buy back Tesla on the cheap.
