I became less judgmental of the Constitution after reading the Federalist Papers. I found the context invaluable and the wisdom about human nature in the throws of power to be enduring. Mostly though, I don’t think there’s value in debating elements that will never be overturned thru amendment.

I totally agree that the rich should pay more, but just to clarify, the Social Security Trust Fund is solvent and will continue to be even in 2033 (but strained). It is one of the few Federal budget line items that has contributed nothing to our $38T National debt.
