If you’re worried about the weather then you picked the wrong place to stay. #MUFC
If your job was to erode the soul of a football club as quickly as possible, you’d probably start by making loads of staff redundant, pricing our regular fans and selling off as many academy graduates as possible.

Really feel like you need two superstar forwards if you’re going to (essentially) play with just three attackers. United clearly don’t have those and it’s really difficult to see where they are going to come from.

Whenever Man Utd have looked like a serious team in the last decade, Luke Shaw has been one of the two or three most influential players in the side. Huge shame about his fitness but United have to get serious about finding his long-term successor now. Aït-Nouri?

United have made the next couple of seasons extremely difficult for themselves by signing and continuing to play guys like Eriksen/Casemiro/Evans/Zirkzee when all the teams around them are prioritising physicality.

Couldn’t be more sure that Ruben Amorim is great but this is going to be a slog. You’ve probably got 3/10 outfield starters today who were happy with their position/role. Poor suitability for the squad to play that system and the overall lack of physicality is a disastrous mix.

Amir Ibragimov has every chance of locking down one of those #10 roles under Ruben Amorim. Unbelievably talented and such a perfect fit.

Lovely mix of gigs this month: Nick Cave in a sold out arena, Trust Fund in a garage in Salford with about twenty people and Cola at YES.

The fact that I spent an hour stressing out over this shows that this place has really captured the magic of vintage Twitter.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Amorim wants to play Rashford as the #9. Gyökeres seems to get so many of his goals from chasing channel balls. In theory. Højlund should be able to replicate that but Rashford already had plenty of those goals. He’s a safer bet to score in that system right now, I think.

United Women are in a horrible place with Marc Skinner. Clear to those who follow the team that they’re let down by the coaching but at a glance (which is all the ownership will seemingly have), they’re doing alright because they’re never far off the European spots. This side should be competing.

Alejandro Garnacho is an absolute joy to watch. He’s not the finished product (obviously, he’s 20!) and will make mistakes as he develops but Manchester United are very lucky to have him. Let’s not lose sight of that.
