I've never been more disappointed in my countrymen than now, and i'm in my 70s. In the last 20 years, i've come to realize that the vast majority of my countrymen are borderline illiterate and much of the country still lives in the 18th century practicing their unsubstantiated relgious beliefs.

Statistics show that 54-55% of American adults cannot read and solve basic math programs at a 6th grade level.
