From the demo in Bristol on Sunday.
Far right faction on a demo march. In the foregroung the backs of a single policeman on each side nearest to the camera, In the middle distance demonstrators marching with banners and flags, viewed from the rear. Beyond the demonstrators pink smoke has almost completely obscured the scene, an array of flags barely visible through the melee.

Gears at an abandoned water mill.
Lit by sunlight in the centre is a small metal toothed gear wheel. It orange with rust on the teeth and shows a darker colour elsewhere. In shadow to the left is a small section of a much larger gear, and to the right, also in shadow is part of the stone structure of the mill.

London, January 2016.
A nice indication of how things change.
On Horseguards Parade, centered amidst monumental masonry, an elderly man creates an artwork on an easel, whilst behind him and slightly to the left a younger man takes a photograph of the same view using a smartphone.

Ramblings; Oxford Canal, 14th June 2025.
A brick built bridge, part of a disused railway has been almost totally pbscured by the vegetation that now engulfs it. Only the top left quarter is visible showing a small quadrant of the arch.

In monochrome. A couple kiss under the bridge of Sighs in the middle distance as a person closer to the camera pictures them on a phone. More people pass beyond them, unaware of the scene.

Budapest; 6th October 2015.
In old Budapest. A dark night the door of a corner shop shines white in contrast to the deep black, lit by what little light is available. Just to the side of the door a dark person is only noticed because of the light from their phone reflecting in their face.

Million Women Rise march : London 2016.

Forgotten Valentine.

Ramblings: 13th September 2024: Accrington, Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
The surface of the canal appears solid due to it's covering of weed. The towpath is leading down from a bridge to run along a grey stone warehouse.

Late afternoon on a winters day.
Motorists head along the Avon Gorge eager to get home from work.
A monochrome image, the scene is almost completely black. In the centre a road lit by street lights and car headlights can be seen from above (from the top of the gorge).
