There is no such thing as a full quilt guild. They may be a closed, snobby art group and who wants to be a member of that. Start your own guild. Our guild meets monthly and we bring show and tell and then we talk about quilting and solve the country's problems. Don't let them win.

I have been quilting for 35 years and still have not made a quilt with curves. You rock!!!!

When at the fabric store look for fabrics that have a lot of colors in them that are appealing to you. Buy fat quarters and keep them as starting points. I have made many quilts using this method. Also join a quilt guild and make friends with the ones that have a great eye for color.

This may be out there but bottom row of books 4th one that is a mauve (ish) color with white might be a kicker.

High school my most hated subject was geometry. Do you know how much you use geometry in quilting? Math is ok but all those geometric shapes. I feel your pain.

Your shrimp plant is beautiful. I have 3 of the red/brown ones and I am constantly looking for yellow ones. They seem to be rare now.
