Musk and Thiel backed Trump because he would let them mainstream crypto, amongst other things.
Right now, crypto is on the outside looking in. Other than bitcoin and etherium, other coins have been junk in terms of value/demand.
Elon is in with Thiel and the etherium crowd (Russians).
