Was thinking last night when I read about this that J League players should really be retiring before they hit their midlife crisis. 😆

Watched the last few mins on DAZN. Great win!

Ah I see, thanks. Should be a great atmosphere!

Sweet! That graphic is a bit confusing though. They had sold 12,000 by the 17th and are now at 18,000? Or do they have 18,000 tickets to sell in total (so 6000 remaining)?

Akita are on course for their record J2 crowd and possibly highest ever attendance this Sunday versus Sendai. Possibly 10,000+.

It's quite interesting (but mostly in a demoralising way) what power does to an opposition party. Their rhetoric isn't much different from the previous government's. 😩

One key difference is that the level of football at a British uni will be much lower and he won't be getting top quality coaching. Best thing for him may be to join a decent local non-league side while he's there.

The same ol' same ol', I fear! 😅

I appreciate that's likely a North American perspective but coming from the UK, which has had sports betting for decades, the intro of Internet and mobile app betting has led to a large increase in gambling addiction I feel. Not just sport but casino games.

I get it but I really wish organizations wouldn't pander to the extremists. They *should* be ignored over matters like this. Otherwise it looks like they have won on the surface.
November 14, 2025 at 10:13 AM
Sorry to hear that. Really unfortunate and must be very annoying. 😩

That is a decent shift!

Another season in J1 is a decent achievement I reckon. Perhaps not as fun and exciting as last year but at least you won't be slumming it at the likes of Akita and Hachinohe any time soon. 😜

Yeah, absolutely. I've no issue with Honda FC doing well in JFL. I don't think they've got an unfair financial advantage over the other teams(?) It's their job to do better!
November 9, 2025 at 3:33 AM
Another argument could be made that if supposedly more ambitious semi-pro teams can't finish above company teams like Honda FC then they have no place competing for a J3 spot anyway.
November 9, 2025 at 3:03 AM
Wasn't that the whole point of creating J3 though? To let company/semi-pro teams play in JFL and the likes of Blaublitz move up to fully pro ranks. I remember watching us play teams such as Sagawa Printing! 😅

I wonder what difference 35k makes compared to say 10k for the players of the team with fewer supporters? Players say they don't often hear much in the background when playing and it's not like J crowds are really intimidating!

You had Jurato Ikeda at CB to contend with! He's been out for a year or so with a bad injury. We had him for one season at Akita and I was gutted when he left for Machida.
November 8, 2025 at 11:21 PM
Just one that scores, huh! 😅 Akita have forgotten how to, unfortunately...
November 8, 2025 at 7:44 AM
They've done surprisingly well! Got some good players but was never sure they were J1 level. Next season will be intriguing. Think they may struggle more like Verdy have this year.
