I can confirm this is true for us. My son has autism. Blue Shield was paying for his speech therapy. We were forced to switch to UnitedHealth earlier this year and they won’t pay for any speech therapist within 20 miles of me. I live in Los Angeles. This shouldn’t be an issue.
