Although #folkhorror is seen as a genre with its roots in rural England, an amazing film like Onibaba (Japan, 1964) shows that the inspirations come from far and wide.

BBC's Lord of the Flies is an exceptional drama. Definite nods towards #FolkHorror in its visuals and soundtrack.
