Btw, I see many teams where players could increase scoring a lot if they simply wouldn't shoot on "first sight".
Often you know, there's no real chance.
But many fans + some players/coaches are hyper-critical about not taking shots, even bad ones.
(Don't speak about "courage" if you do that.)

A very subtle thing here is also that "flow" that you create, it goes opportunity - success - opportunity - success - etc. You feel that and you want to keep it up. But sometimes you must break the flow, when the opportunity is just not there.

You start to take stupid shots, you might not be concentrated enough, etc, feeling like "let's just score and if it's not working, we'll score the next one".
In that situation, you should be able to create more than a blocked shot.
