Because of a surprising and rather severe case of DVT in my right leg, it seems (doctors say) my comeback game of rugby for Army Band of Brothers last month will turn out to be my last game of rugby, full stop.
Couldn't go out on a better note, if so.

The ‘02 brothers, plus author highly honored to hear his words read in memory of Jim Gurbisz: “Thanks to rugby, to a single game played nearly 20 years before, when we shed our blood together, I shared some small part of their bond. I knew what their brotherhood meant. I could write their lives.”
