Sunday words of wisdom from Merlin.

Well. You can’t argue with any of that, I’m sure.

Sat 23 November 1963. I can’t see it catching on, can you?

It’s the penultimate #Caturday EggDay for Merlin of Nov 2025. And Maj gets her treat, too.

Ridiculously noisy pair, as ever.

Another Nov ‘25 #Caturday EggDay for Merlin. And Maj is awake this week.

Both are ridiculously noisy for their size.

He’s so pleased with himself, having captured THE PLASTIC STRAW.

“Down and safe.”

I’m looking forward to tucking into this.

This week’s “Sunday with a cat, a coffee, and a book” photo features the other cat, for a change (Maj, rather than Merlin).

And it’s a glass of red wine, rather than coffee.

The second #caturday EggDay for Merlin of Nov ‘25.

Maj snoozed and missed treat time. (Maybe later for her).

I tried to have a quiet night catching up on some recorded TV (watching “Wire in the Blood”, which I’d not seen before now).

Unfortunately, Merlin has been a bloody arse. Ricocheting round the room like a furry torpedo.

Ironically, this then happened on screen.

This week’s “Sunday with a cat, a coffee, and a book” photo.

He really is such an affectionate feline.

I've been getting back into the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series after many years, and the most relatable part is how everyday objects like doors and elevators have been imbued with artificial intelligence and it just makes them obnoxious and frustrating to use and everyone hates it.

Edge of Darkness is on BBC Four and BBC iPlayer (marking its 40th anniversary). One of the most bleak, gripping dramas ever. I adore it.

It’s a total masterpiece.

Don’t you hate it when someone starts reading over your shoulder?

Sunday with a cat, a coffee, and a book.

The last #Caturday EggDay for Merlin of Oct ‘25.

Some loud purring action from him. And noisy chomps from Maj.
