Here is a small plea to arts presenting organizations: please ask artists for their current publicity photos. Please don't "image search" and then choose the absolute worst photo you can find. My self-esteem is low enough as it is. Thank you very much.

I have been trying to not pay attention to anything 47-related, but today I heard a glimpse of his tirade about how "DEI caused the plane crash", and I am afraid that now I am broken beyond repair.
I still hear people say that women who achieve are just given things cuz of "DEI".
When will it stop?

Today in my counterpoint class I needed to try to define "harmony" for them, and explain the difference between "harmony" and "chord". I said that "harmony" is the relationship or interaction between tones, and "chord" is the vertical manifestation of that. What would you have said?

Igor Stravinsky, Maurice Ravel, and Toru Takemitsu were all 5'3". I am proud to come from this line of fun-sized composers.
