The kind of event joining instructions I like to see but so seldom do. (Though tbf I had some recently for Manchester city centre which were similarly uncompromising.)

Far NE of Norfolk feels like the end of the earth. Nice ramble taking in pumping mill, beach with several big pods of seals and very ancient and rustic church.

Fairly exceptionally, in E Cambs we have some good routes into Cambridge (pic). In the other direction (Newmarket) developers have done some sections adjacent to their schemes (s106) but they don't join up. Rest is narrow 60mph B road even those of us with confidence/experience won't ride.

With the worrying emergence of unofficial "patrols" in various places, I hope police will move swiftly to enforce Public Order Act 1936 which prohibits uniformed groups of this kind. Context was, of course, SA, Blackshirts etc.

The normalisation of lying in our political culture, and BBC's failure to address it. I have read the summary judgement, judges' decision has nothing to do with ECHR. It mentions it once, to pour cold water on a Home Office argument!

So the Tax Dodgers' Alliance are campaigning against new working patterns which have (independently verified) resulted in improvements in service performance. As ever, who is funding this kind of activity, including FB ads?

Our entire gooseberry harvest this year in one small flan. Not sure if it is because of dry weather or because the bushes were only planted late winter.

Large herds of semi-wild herbivores grazing Cambridgeshire's wild open spaces. Scarcely believable this is 10 miles from the city, and was until recently bare arable fields. Well done @midsandeastnt.bsky.social
