Must be mad waking up American and seeing in Washington what
the rest of the world has been looking at for ages.

Profit over people. Corporations over community. Ethics subservient to everything greed.

This US war plan on Signal story is maybe the wildest yet.

Is anyone in the US government accountable to anything anymore??

Proud of my pals here. New dance floor, powered by custom L-Acoustics rig, with record shop, indie bookstore and upstairs club opening in Manchester.

renae, on Thomas Street, ISN’T A LISTENING BAR.

Instead, it’s a place for serious music and actual fun.

How long until AI can work out complex global problems and starts pointing out that 10% of the population have 85% of the money?

Will tech eventually save us from the tech bros?

Doomsday Clock just moved forward by 1 second.

It has never moved just 1 second before. Now trying to work out if it’s slowing down, if this is the car crash where milliseconds become minutes, or the apocalyptic version of a Netflix series that should have been a film but rolls on for 12 seasons.

Trying to wrap my head around how the world’s most powerful country that has set the political and economic tone for a century can be so angry at its own rules it starts lashing out at everyone other than the people who imposed them.

I’m seeing a lot of posts about America being the laughing stock of world right now.

This is part of the problem.

There’s nothing funny - at all - about news coming from the world’s most powerful country.

Nobody’s laughing. They’re either jeering, gleefully waiting for a turn, or traumatised.

The UK needs a ban on overseas and corporate donations to political parties asap.

If you don’t actually get a vote in the election you should not be able to contribute to campaigns.

We will not.

Really don’t give a shit about how much pressure you’re being put under. Have a think about whether your chase is reasonable before you chase.

I’ve always been very wary of people who consider themselves to be ‘normal’.

I’m now 100% convinced of my rationale.
They're absolutely right; this was the first influencer election, delivered by the robber barons of black box algorithms.

Those algorithms tell them everything revolves around people who look and think like them. "Normal."

If you haven't read Kyle Chayka's brilliant FILTERWORLD, you must.

‘People are more miserable when submerged in digital information’.

Shocker.

Also interesting that public libraries are one of the few remaining urban spaces we can exist in for free.
"A whopping 82% of people who used the library’s physical space and 79% of people who physically attended programs reported more optimism regarding the future, compared to only 58% of digital-only users."

Our physical space and resources matter *greatly!*
