Monopoly history - mergers and collusion in the steel industry, which went unchallenged initially and for quite some time. At the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor (amazing museum!) in Youngstown, Ohio.

And they shall beat their swords into plowshares
And their spears into pruning hooks
And turn all their Diet Pepsi to Diet Coke
Nation shall not take up sword against nation
Neither shall they thirst any more
(apologies to Isaiah 2:4)

Today is Yom HaShoah, #Holocaust Remembrance Day. This is my great grandmother, Khaneh Gershgoren, of blessed memory, a little old lady. She was dragged from her home in Volkovintsy, Ukraine by the Germans and their Ukrainian henchmen, and murdered simply because she was Jewish.

The ancestral Gaynor pub in Leenane, Ireland (well, not really - the name Gaynor for our family came out of the New York City phone book). Happy #St.Patrick’sDay ☘️!

Anyone know what happened to the Area Resource Files data? They’re supposed to be freely downloadable (and have been for years) from the HHS website. The links are still there, but the data aren’t (“Server Error: File Not Found”). More DOGE or DOGE-like baloney keeping information from the public?
