Had a fun evening at my local photography club on Wednesday. A member from the club arranged a macro night where he brought in a variety of subjects and his collection of lights so everyone could try out some new techniques. Here's my results.

Added a recent pano image to this “Panellum” viewer. A much better way to view panos digitally I think.

Today's #WowWednesday was taken by Martin Garnett, martingarnett_photography of the New Years aurora at Tewet Tarn 🌠

Did you see the aurora?

Incredibly lucky to see the lady aurora on day one of 2025. Looking forward to all the photography opportunities this year, improving my skills and learning new techniques. :)

Dang it. I forgot to go for a run yesterday… oh well. I’ll try again next year.

The biggest issue with @framer.com right now is how limiting their CMS "Content" field is. I really want to migrate a WP blog I have over to framer, but that blog has several image galleries embedded in each post. It'd also be nice to be able to add classes/custom styles to each element too.

Managed to photography a Goldcrest at the weekend. My first time seeing one of these birds – I couldn't believe how small it was. They move pretty quickly and the light wasn't great, but happy with the outcome nonetheless.

Yesterday, we had a cool idea for our nature photography platform. Today we shipped it. :D

Users can now create their "Year of photography" graphic which uses their calendar month featured images. :)

Here's mine, and yes, I didn't take any photos in February. 😭

Enrolled a few more test users to the nature photography side-project I'm working on, and it's so great to see how they interact with the product, and learn new insights from them.

If you're #wildlife or #landscape photographer and interested, say hello in my dm's - let's connect! :) #photography

Shout out to all of you that's working on a side-project. Whatever it is, it's hard work chipping away at something outside of a full-time job + daily life chores. Keep going, it'll be worth it!

What input type do you use for your "QTY" fields for ecommerce carts?

The obvious is a number input, but that accepts "-" character and decimal places.

Apparently GOV.UK now use text inputs for numbers with inputmode="numeric", but that still accepts any character.

Looking forward to seeing these lil’ guys again soon. They’re so full of character and fun to watch.

Speaking of fun things, I definitely had too much fun making the snowflakes spin-on-scroll in the updated Gifts page on Bonfire this year. (Also on the home page).

The thing that I miss in modern product development, is that people only add features that are tested for profit/conversions.

No one adds features any more just because they're cool/fun/useful. Sure, it might not make heaps of money, but it makes the tool more enjoyable to use, and more unique.

Editing some older images today for a local club competition. I needed a couple of black & white seascapes (not something I do very often). I think these turned out OK?

Rebuilding some marketing pages in #Framer today. It's so quick and easy and a real joy to use.

I'll post some of my photos that I took yesterday soon. I just want one more look at them for final edits. :D

How's your #Monday going?

To try and get a little more out of my NAS before I upgrade it, I'm going through deleting all my JPEG's (keeping just the raw images). I've never used them, and tbh, I don't plan on it either.

Do you keep JPEG's? If so, why?
