Congrats to Keely Hodgkinson, but I voted for Alex Yee for the BBC SPOTY award. The triathlon is the toughest of sports and to win Olympic gold in such dramatic style was truly inspirational. Sadly, Yee attracted less SPOTY votes than a plump teenager who throws darts for a living. C'est la vie.
