Never a bad word to say about her from me - except that Oscar was a joke even by the usual standards of the Academy.
She deserves recognition for a wonderful career but I'm sure they could have found a better moment

Was the Schrader film really worth watching twice or was that a typo? It's on my list as a huge fan of his early directorial efforts!

Never seen Dante's Peak but the others are all top drawer. Glad you were pleasantly surprised by my all-time favourite Western

Really good week! I have fond memories of Capricorn One - it was one of the first films I saw on VHS. Haven't seen it since though!

Just picked up this blu ray in the second hand shop. Never heard of it but took the plunge. Sounds like I made a good decision!

Brad Dexter was perfectly cast. One looks at his face and you knew everything you needed to know about the character. I knew I had seen him somewhere but didn't place him until I looked him up afterwards

Loved it! Kept me off-guard and I had no idea where it was going. Any film that surprises you is a good one.

It will be interesting to hear what you think. I really did not like this at the time. I just remember it making no sense whatsoever and characters doing stupid things for no reason - but like you I can't remember the details now!
